The Asian Study Group annual membership is open to all foreign diplomats or sponsored Pakistani residents. ASG reserves the right to decline or revoke membership as necessary without assigning a reason.

At the end of the 2018-2019 season, the Asian Study Group consisted of approximately 200  paid members, split almost evenly between Pakistani and foreigners and between men and women.

The Asian Study Group is governed by a management council which receives input from 16 subgroups. A total of 30 members volunteer in these groups and are responsible for over 60  programmes per season.
